In recent years more and more posts, videos and blogs talk about making money the easy way without even having to work for it. As if there are businesses where you do nothing while making a lot of money are available to all of us, but most of us just don’t know it yet. The truth however is, that the business where doing nothing is rewarded with a great income still needs to be invented.

WHY NETWORK MARKETING?

This brings me to the “why” of building a Network Marketing organisation. Sadly enough I have seen an influence come in to our industry that I don’t really like: “you should build a Network Marketing organisation to get your next month’s commission up”. I honestly don’t care where this influence came from, what interests me is doing something about it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that money is not important, on the contrary. What I’m saying is that there is a difference between making good money for a month, a year or a few years and having a great income for the rest of your life.

So let’s take a look at our industry from a different angle.

First of all, no matter which Network Marketing organisation you work for, knowing your products, believing in them and seeing the necessity for people to get to know them is key. Secondly, knowing and believing in the values of the company that produces these products is also essential.

So knowing the above then why build a Network Marketing organisation of people?

Well, when you believe in your products and the company you work with, it might be your ambition to reach a maximum number of people. This way they get to know, buy and benefit from your products. It’s no secret that you reach more people with a team rather than just doing it all by yourself. And when you start a business of your own, you have just 24 hours a day, not even taking into account your (full-time) job, family and hopefully some quality sleep at night.

WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER

But if you work with and help 10 people do the same, your 24 hours change into 240 hours and with a 1.000 people that brings you to 24.000 hours per day. If you can’t make your days longer, make them better! 🙂
And as we all know in Network Marketing, it is always more interesting to make 1% of what 100 people can do, rather than just making a 100% of what you can do.

Of course the financial aspect in Network Marketing is important and often the main driver for people to start their own business. On the other hand, having the right philosophy and the right “why” makes the difference between having a good month from time to time or short lived and a career or solid business providing you and your team with a great income for the rest of your life.

In the end, how you look at your business and your people, will define if your business and your people will look after you.
